BRISTOL, Tenn. and Va. -

We're 20 days away from Christmas, but the celebration starts Thursday in downtown Bristol.

Their annual Christmas parade rolls through State Street Thursday night at 7:00.

This year, we discovered it will be bigger than ever. You can expect 181 parade entrants; a record number for Bristol.

This will be the 31st year the Chamber of Commerce has hosted the parade. Officials there told us it's a long-lasting tradition that helps bring the community together.

"It's a festive time, and everybody likes to get the candy, and it just brings in the Christmas holidays for us," said Trish Buckles, the parade coordinator.

Officials expect about 4,000 people every year.
