It happened around 5:45 Tuesday evening at the CVS pharmacy at 1315 Virginia Avenue. Police say the man came into the store and went to the pharmacy counter.

"A white male came into the store. He was dressed in a cut-off black t-shirt, cargo shorts and running shoes of some kind,” Bristol, Tennessee Police captain Charlie Thomas said. “He handed the clerk a note and left with an undetermined amount of drugs."

Police say the man was armed with what appeared to be a box cutter. They say he's around 35 years old with a medium build and close-cropped blond hair.

Police also say customers told them the man got into an older model red Chevy extended cab pick-up truck.
