Blountville man charged with downloading child pornography

A Blountville man is facing charges after Sullivan County officers say he was downloading child pornography.

24-year-old Paul Myers is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. Sullivan County detectives say during a search of his home on George Carr Road, they found more than 100 images of child pornography.

Officers say they also found evidence that hundreds of additional pornographic images involving children had been deleted from the computer.

Myers is being held in the Sullivan County jail under a $100,000 bond.
