A concert is being held this weekend, but the proceeds are not going to pay the bands; instead they are going to help Hurricane Sandy victims.
We learned everything from the venue to the food has been donated and event coordinator Tom Swadley says it has been a collaboration of musicians and business people in the area that have helped make it possible.
“It's for a great cause. 100 percent of the funds we raise are going up to New York City, directly to the victims of the Sandy Session’s relief fund. All the profits from the concession are going to that too," said Swadley.
The event will be held on Saturday at the VFW building on west State Street, December 15 from 3:30 p.m. until midnight. They are asking for a $10 donation to get in the door.
