Body found near 11-W in Bristol

A dead body has been discovered in a wooded area in Bristol, Tennessee.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

We have new facts about a police officer-involved shooting investigation in Kingsport.

The autopsy report has been released for Earnest Lynn France. Officers shot France after they say he pointed a gun at them during a traffic stop back in May.

We received a copy of the report and learned the autopsy found 12 gunshot wounds.

The report also says France had consumed alcohol and prescription strength drugs.

Illegal drugs were not found.

District Attorney General Barry Staubus says the investigation into the shooting is still active.
