A woman convicted in a 1997 Greene County murder will not receive an appeal.
A federal appeals court refused to hear the case of Karen Howell. She was 17-years-old when authorities say she and five other young people from Kentucky abducted the Lillelid family at a rest stop.
The parents and a six-year-old girl were murdered. The couple's two-year-old son was shot twice but survived.
The family had just returned from a Jehovah's witness conference.
Howell argued she received ineffective counsel. Again, that appeal was denied.
