Abingdon to test emergency sirens today

ABINGDON, Va. -

If you hear sirens Friday morning in Abingdon, be calm, because it is only a test.

The testing will start at 10:00 Friday morning and will finish at 11:00 am.

Abingdon officials tell us they're testing their storm warning sirens. They are urging you to not call 911, local police, fire or EMS when you hear the sirens.
