Abingdon man dies in early morning car crash

One man is dead following a one-car crash in Washington County, VA this morning.

Virginia State Police tell us they were called about a wreck was around 3:00am Friday on Virginia State Route 80, Lyndale Road, just south of state route 740 near Meadowview, Virginia.

According to Virginia State Police dispatch, 27-year-old Thomas Keith Watson of Abingdon died after his car ran off the road and over a hill.

Virginia State Police are investigating the crash.
