New Industrial Jobs In Washington County, Va.

POSTED: 5:26 pm EST February 7, 2012
A new industry is coming to Washington County, Virginia, and the company says it can save fuel and help the environment at the same time.

The Cavitronix Corporation announced its intentions to locate its initial manufacturing plant and R&D facility in the Bristol-Washington County Industrial Park.

The company has developed a water-in-fuel system that reduces fuel oil consumption in old boiler systems while at the same time reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Tom David is president and CEO of the company. "We think it has applications in areas other than just the stationary boiler market," he said Tuesday. "We think we'll be able to apply it in lot of different areas to save fuel and reduce pollution."

Those other applications include diesel generators and marine uses.

The company will initially create 16 full-time jobs. We're told they're expecting additional jobs and investments in the future.
