Marvin Potter, Jr. and Jamie Lynn Curd are accused of killing Billy Payne, Jr. and Billie Jean Hayworth. The couple were found a week ago at a home in the Doe Valley community. The sheriff says both had been shot in the head and Billy Payne's throat was slashed. Curd has been appointed a temporary public offender. His bond has increased to $750,000 for each charge. Potter is seeking to hire an attorney. A status hearing for him is set for next Wednesday. Both men will be back in court on March 21 for a preliminary hearing.
