Leslie is from east Tennessee; she is a graduate of Sullivan Central High School and East Tennessee State University. While at ETSU, Leslie began an internship in the newsroom at WCYB. After graduating, she moved to fulltime videography/editing, and worked her way up to reporting. She moved to fulltime reporting in 2005 and usually covers the Sullivan County and Kingsport beat.
