BRISTOL, Va. -

A local library hopes you'll learn more with their Discovery Series this year.

The line-up of speakers for this 2012 was announced Wednesday morning at the Bristol Public Library. Officials tell News 5 there's something for everyone this year.

The series has been running since 2008.

People visiting in April will get a treat -- a chance to hear from Big Stone Gap, Virginia native Adriana Trigiani.

"She was a writer for The Cosby Show for many years," explained Anita Machado at the library. "So she's really funny as well as a great author. On Saturday 14 she'll be here to talk about her new book which will be released in late August called 'The shoemaker's wife.'"

Library officials tell us tickets can be purchased at the circulation desk or online at bristol-library.org.
