Allergies Can Be Worse When Raining
Playing outside can cause itchy eyes and sneezing, which is how three-year old Anthony Whitehead has been feeling "It just gets me so sick," he said.
News 5 checked with Doctor Landon Combs, he says rain plays a role in how bad your allergies flare up.
While it helps plants grow more, when it rains it knocks pollen off of plants and branches. But also causes problems with mold. "From the fact that because we still have a lot of leaves that are still remaining on ground mold will develop up underneath those and when people mow those up, you'll have more mold spread into the air," said Doctor Combs.
He also recommends changing air filters, washing window screens, and limit time outside to avoid allergic reactions.
